Established in 1972 by Bob Evans (hence the B.E). The Company Director of BE Furniture Ltd is Simon Evans with both his sons Luke and Dan also now working in the business. Kris Hart and Ant Hart complete the management team.
Initially, we started out as event organisers ourselves with organizing Antique Fairs which then progressed into hiring and then selling furniture. We learnt it was beneficial to have additional quantities of some items waiting in the wings which we could sell or hire – depending on which order came first.
We manufacture all our own trestle tables here in Melton Mowbray. Over the years as we have grown our purchasing power has increased. we have developed contacts with manufacturers around the world and now buy a wide variety of furniture direct from factories by the container which arrive regularly throughout the year. Our sales of furniture are now a major part of the business.
We endeavour to keep good stock levels so we can usually dispatch sales furniture the same day and these are transported by Fed Ex, a pallet network or by our own fleet of vans and lorries. You are also very welcome to come and self collect from us here in Melton Mowbray.
